Following the loss of a great friend and Life Vice President, the club decided to introduce an Autotest / PCA Club Championship in his memory.
Frank Williams (Speedsports Photography) who was a long standing name in Motorsport throughout North Wales, had a passion for competing on many Autotests in the region and became very successful. Frank himself was a great Autotester and represented Wales in their team at one time.
The Series will consist of numerous Autotests / PCA rounds held throughout the season. There are currently four rounds and the first is to be held at Rhyl College on Sunday 22 January 2017. Should the events be well supported then there may be a demand for more rounds to be introduced to the Championship. To qualify for points within the Frank Williams Series Challenge, all you must do is ensure that you are a fully paid up Rhyl member and enter the events under Rhyl & District Motor Club.
Come the end of the season the winner will be awarded the Frank Williams Memorial Series Challenge Trophy, which will be held for a maximum one year and must be returned upon request.
