Despite enormous efforts by the organising team, who had created an exciting and challenging route over some of the classic 116 map, it is with regret that this year's JD Romain Novice Rally has been cancelled.
The event organisers would like to thank the event sponsor, entrants, club members, volunteers and individuals who have supported this year’s event and can only apologise for any inconvenience this unavoidable decision may cause.
This event is named after our late President and one of the founder members of Rhyl & District Motor Club.
Anybody who knew Mr Jack Romain would have recognised that he was the backbone of Motorsport in North Wales. His experience was vast ranging from Welsh Clerk of the Course on the Lombard RAC Rally to being a Route Liaison Officer (RLO) for the MSA where he was very highly regarded.
This year’s event will be organised by a new team and promises to be aimed to suit the newcomer to the sport.
Many marshals will be required for our event, so if you are not entering then please consider coming to help and please encourage friends and fellow club members to assist on what we promise will be a challenge for the competitor.
We look forward to welcoming you to the 2018 JD Romain Novice Rally
More information on the event will become available as the year progresses
